Secure, Flat-Rate Cloud Document Archiving for Small Business
A digital safe for independent CPAs, tax firms and legal sole practitioners who need finished files kept, not co-edited.
1 TB · $29 a month flat · no per-user seats
A digital safe, not a collaboration suite
Encrypted before it leaves your computer
Every file is encrypted in your browser with its own AES-GCM key before upload. What sits in storage is ciphertext, so the storage operator only ever sees encrypted bytes.
Your records stay in your account
Each account has its own encryption key, held under a managed key service, and every file key is wrapped under it. There are no shared team drives or workspace folders for a client file to end up in.
No anonymous public links
Nothing is shared until you create a link, and a link only opens for someone who signs in. Limit it to named email addresses, set an expiry, or delete it and access ends.
One flat rate, no seats
No per-user licences and no seat minimum. One predictable monthly charge that your practice can put on the company card.

Read this before you store client records
It isn't a workspace. There is no live co-editing, no comment threads and no sync client copying files onto every laptop. You upload the files you need to keep, and they stay where you put them.
It isn't provider-blind encryption. StorageBites manages the encryption keys so your files open on any device you sign in to. That means we have the cryptographic access needed to decrypt them, and we'd cooperate with valid legal requests. If your rules require that a provider can never decrypt, encrypt files with a tool like Cryptomator before uploading.
It isn't a compliance attestation. We don't advertise SOC 2, HIPAA or similar certifications. Check what your profession's rules require before storing regulated records.

Frequently asked questions
How is a document vault different from Google Drive or Dropbox for business?
Business file suites are built around shared editing and sync, and they are usually priced per user. A vault does one job: it keeps finished files encrypted in one place until you need them. StorageBites has no co-editing, no sync client and no per-user seats, just uploads, folders and read-only sharing.
Who can open the files I store?
Someone signed in to your account, and anyone you deliberately share a read-only link with, who also has to sign in. There are no anonymous public links. StorageBites manages the encryption keys so your files open on any device you sign in to, which means we have the cryptographic access needed to decrypt them, and we'd cooperate with valid legal requests. We don't claim to be zero-knowledge or end-to-end encrypted.
Can I send a document to a client?
Yes, read-only. You create a link to a file or folder and the client signs in to view or download it; a free read-only account is enough. You can limit the link to specific email addresses, set it to expire, and delete it to end access.
Is there a per-user fee or a seat minimum?
No. The Professional Business Vault Plan is one flat $29 per month for 1 TB of storage, with no per-user licences and no minimum number of seats.
